A community engagement workshop to discuss plans for the Easter Rising centenary celebrations will take place at the Galway City Museum this Thursday evening (June 4). A steering committee has been appointed by Galway City Council to oversee the celebrations in the city next year. This committee will engage with local communities and arts organisations to devise a programme to commemorate the Rising.
Shopify is this week starting to hire Gurus, the company’s customer support agents, to work remotely in the Galway region. The new operations will allow the company to better serve their international merchants across any time zone. It shows how the three corner buildings, all of which are slightly rounded, complement each other. It was always known as Moon’s Corner or Dillon’s corner, never McNamara’s corner.
