GMIT to hold virtual information evening for further education and mature students

GMIT will host a virtual open evening on Thursday, January 21, from 6pm to 8pm, for those keen to learn more about progressing from further education (FE) and post Leaving Cert (PLC) courses to GMIT. The event will also be of particular interest to mature students. The Pathways to GMIT event will provide information on all entry routes to GMIT, including CAO courses, part-time, and online courses on offer in all GMIT’s campuses in Galway and Mayo.

GMIT is pleased to announce that Samir Mahmood, a graduating student of the four-year part-time BA in Contemporary Practices, has been awarded the inaugural Mary Lavelle Burke Bursary Award. Samir’s practice evolves from a transdisciplinary approach incorporating drawing, painting, sculptural, and video elements, and this award is a recognition of his achievements as an outstanding student.

GMIT Voices, a choir comprising staff and retired staff members from GMIT's Galway and Mayo campuses, have released their first virtual choir video of the academic term. The video and song, 'Hold Me, Rock Me', is now available on GMIT social media channels on Facebook and YouTube.
