Shining success for Westmeath SuperValu stores at Quality Awards

Four SuperValu stores in Westmeath were awarded the highest accolade of food quality, The Supreme National Hygiene and Food Safety Award, at the recent 2015 SuperValu Quality Awards in Killarney. The awards are accredited by the Excellence Ireland Quality Association (EIQA) and identify retailers throughout the country who have gone above and beyond in maintaining the highest quality standards for more than a three year period.

The awards, which identify and reward retailers that have gone above and beyond in their strive to maintain a consistently high level of hygiene in their stores over a three year period, were presented by Martin Kelleher, managing director of Centra, and Martin Roper, technical director of Excellence Ireland Quality Association. The seven Mayo stores that were presented with this prestigious award, were Roche’s Centra Balla, Cuffe’s Centra Belmullet, Walsh’s Centra Kilmaine, Mitchell’s Centra Moygownagh, Sheridan’s Centra Newport, Casey’s Centra Castlebar, and Casey/McShane’s Centra Ballina.
