For a blast of live music to brighten up the New Year, the WhistleBlast Quartet is hosting a free family concert at Ballina Arts Centre on Thursday next (January 15) at 6.30pm.

WhistleBlast Quartet are heading to Aughalasheen

The WhistleBlast Quartet – Ken Edge (saxophones and clarinet), Mary Curran (French horn), Síle Daly (oboe and cor anglais) and Conor Linehan (piano) – will visit Aughalasheen National School with another completely new and exciting three-day outreach/concert programme from Tuesday, May 14 to Thursday May 16 that will involve all of the children at the school in a series of concerts and workshops. The entire school will perform a short piece of their own composition as part of the final free concert - on Thursday, May 16 at 6.30pm in Áras Inis Gluaire, Belmullet.
