Meeting on bank debt

An evening of poetry, storytelling, and music will take place at the Charlestown Library on December 11 at 8pm.

The Charlestown book club will return on September 4 at 8.30pm at the Charlestown Library. New members are welcome, contact Noirin at 094 925 5934

It is hoped that classes in Irish will start up at the Charlestown community centre shortly. The classes will take place at 7.30pm and are for absolute beginners. For further information contact Noirin at 086 383 6078.

Charlestown Farmers’ Market

Charlestown Library are asking children to submit a spooky story (250 words) and be in for a chance of winning €1,000 worth of books for their school or library.

Children under 15 can also enter a competition to design a cover for the new edition of The Great Pig Escape by Linda Moller which will be published in spring 2009 by O’Brien Press.
