This May bank holiday weekend will see Ireland’s oldest Bealtaine celebration on the Hill of Uisneach on Saturday, May 2 from 2-11.30pm. The Uisneach Fire Festival’s unique ceremonial fire parade at dusk will be the centrepiece of the day-long celebration which will feature artisan foods and crafts, holistic healing, a heritage talks tent, re-enactments, and guided heritage walks. The main stage area will feature a full music programme including the Máirtín O’Connor Band and Mary Coughlan. A special Clarke’s Bar Tent will also feature a traditional music programme throughout the day.
