The Galway senior camogie team will head down the road to Cusack park on Saturday for a 5pm throw-in when they face Clare as part of a double header with the Clare v Dublin All-Ireland hurling qualifier game.

Despite being narrowly defeated in the All-Ireland final to Wexford, the Galway camogie team was honoured last weekend with the selection of six 2011 All Stars.

After the bitter disappointment of last year’s two-point defeat to Wexford in the All-Ireland final there is a strong belief this year’s Galway camogie panel can collect the senior title on Sunday in Croke Park (4pm) when they face Wexford again.

For long periods the outcome was in doubt, but in the end Kilkenny turned on the style as they crucified the Tipperary challenge.

The Galway senior Camogie team will face Offaly this Saturday in the All-Ireland series at Pearse Stadium at 5pm in a double header with the Galway v Clare All-Ireland hurling championship tie.

Galway ladies continue their senior camogie championship campaign on Sunday when they host Cork in Pearse Stadium at 5pm.
