Property Partners Maxwell Heaslip & Leonard enjoyed a successful start to its 2012 auctions last Friday. The spring auction, which brought five properties to the market, was a positive start to the auction year with four of the five properties now sold.

Property Partners Maxwell Heaslip & Leonard brought its auction year to a successful close last Friday at the auction rooms in the Imperial Hotel, Eyre Square. An interesting mix of lots was brought to the floor, and the jam-packed room demonstrated the appetite that exists for well-priced properties in central locations.
“Sold!” was a word auctioneer James Heaslip MIPAV, of Property Partners Maxwell Heaslip & Leonard became used to exclaiming throughout the auction rooms of the Imperial Hotel last Friday afternoon. Six of the seven properties included in the company’s autumn auctions sold by close of business. “We were delighted with the results on the day, as are our vendors and purchasers,” Heaslip said after the event. “We came to auction to sell the properties, and sell we did.”
It was a maximum break at a packed and very exciting auction last week when Colleran auctioneers sold all three properties and a snooker table.

Learning from the experiences of the last auction held by Property Partners Maxwell Heaslip & Leonard in November, bidders arrived early and the room filled up briskly so that by 3pm when auctioneer James Heaslip MIPAV took to the floor only standing room remained.
O’Donnellan & Joyce held one of the biggest auctions in the country in the Victoria Hotel, Eyre Square, Galway, on Friday when six properties went up for auction. The auction room was full to capacity and the atmosphere was electric from the people in the room. There was also a large number of people unable to get into the room, such was the density of the crowd.
A 72 acre residential farm located less than three miles from Kilkenny city at Cuffesgrange on the Callan Road was sold in three lots to local farmers after being withdrawn during a recent auction held in the Clubhouse Hotel.
