A crowd of some 120 people turned up to the latest Connacht Property Auction, held last Thursday in the Menlo Park Hotel. In total there were 24 properties offered for sale across Connacht including several Galway properties. With an 88 per cent sold ratio at the February auction and 92 per cent at the April auction, the auction team were expecting another big turnout and they were not disappointed. The auction room was full with the crowd spilling into the registration area at the back of the room.

The Radisson Blu Hotel in Lough Atalia was a hive of activity last Friday, April 24, as leading property agent DNG Maxwell Heaslip & Leonard held its April auctions which featured 26 lots in total. The arrival of bidders from 1.30pm onwards ahead of the 3pm start was an early indication of the intent for the day, and indeed by 3pm the veranda lounge was full to capacity with anxious vendors, hopeful bidders, and one or two interested spectators.

The first Connacht Property Auction of 2015 was held on February 26 in the Menlo Park Hotel, Galway. Of the 24 properties on offer via the auction company, 21 properties were successfully sold, giving an 88 per cent success rate. The auction team are now taking entries for upcoming auctions taking place on April 23 and June 25. The Connacht Property Auction is the only auction company in Ireland which does not charge upfront costs or marketing charges to enter a property into its auctions.
