Athlone Castle Visitor Centre has an egg-citing event coming up on Easter Sunday April 5. From 12.30-2.30pm all Easter bunnies are invited to take part in the Athlone Castle Easter Treasure Hunt.

As part of this year’s Heritage Week, which starts tomorrow (Saturday August 23) Athlone Castle Visitor Centre will offer guided tours of castle walls as well as a temporary exhibition, all free to the public.

Athlone Castle will be hosting Athlone - Our Home a temporary exhibition as part of National Heritage Week August 23-31. Interesting objects and their associated stories are sought for this exhibition, giving the people of Athlone an opportunity to tell the story of the town in a personal way. Submissions will be accepted up to Monday August 11.
