Amazing Apples return to Scribes, AIT

One of Ireland’s favourite live bands will be returning to Scribes, in AIT next Wednesday May 22.

Last year was a busy one for the Galway-based outfit including a rocking performance at Electric Picnic; a fabulous show with The Sawdoctors at The Volvo Ocean Race, a debut originals EP which went straight to number one on the download charts; headlining the St Patrick’s Day Festival in Bucharest, Romania; and opening for the great Mumford and Sons and Damien Dempsey.

Only a few days left until the Calendar Girls take to the stage

Athlone Little Theatre’s latest production, the award winning Calendar Girls opens next Monday night, May 20, in the Dean Crowe Theatre, Athlone at 8pm.

This is sure to be one of the most popular pieces of theatre to grace the Athlone stage for a very long time and the buzz about town is electric.

Multi-platinum winning artist Tommy Fleming has many times been described as the ‘Voice of Ireland’ and is one of Ireland’s top entertainers. Famous for his own arrangements of ‘Danny Boy’, ‘Isle of Innisfree’, and ‘Hard Times’, the Sligo native’s most recent release Going Back has been an over-whelming success featuring such classics as ‘Dream A Little Dream’, ‘My Life’, and ‘Solitaire’ along with many more.
