Eircom rolls out broadband to Ballinahown

Eircom has announced it has broadband-enabled the telephone exchange serving the residents of Ballinahown, Co Westmeath. The announcement comes as part of eircom’s public commitment to broadband-enable over 400 exchanges across Ireland by the end of this year.

Eircom customers can now ‘Get More with eircom Broadband’ and maximise the benefits of their broadband connection with a range of services to suit everyone’s interest.

These include: music - eircom’s new music portal, music.eircom.net, features free music downloads of independent Irish artists, album reviews, music videos, gig listings and over 850,000 tracks available to purchase to the PC, digital device or as a ringtone; sports - broadband customers can now watch exclusive live games and archived footage on Setanta Sports as well as access a dedicated soccer portal with behind-the-scenes interviews and exclusives with the Irish soccer team; internet security - Norton Internet Security is free for two months and then €3.99 per month thereafter; and file storage and sharing - 1GB free online storage to store, share, and access your digital photos, family videos, and personal documents.
