Surf’s up to celebrate inspirational Mayo women

Ladies of all ages from across Mayo are being called on to get ‘bodacious’ and hit the surf as part of a charity campaign to celebrate the inspirational women in their lives.

Elvis Beetham and Jo Doran of the SurfMayo school have arranged an all-female day on the waves at Carrowniskey Strand, Louisburgh.

Health Minister James Reilly last week performed the official launch of the Food Safety Authority of Ireland’s new on-line calorie calculator to help businesses in the food undustry to calculate the calorie contents of their menus.

The tool, MenuCal, is the first of its kind in Europe.
