Egg and fairy hunt in Claremorris

The Claremorris Agricultural Show will be celebrating its 100th birthday this summer. A fundrasing Easter egg hunt will be held on Sunday, March 31, from 12.30pm to 4pm at MacMahon Park, Clare Lake in Claremorris. There will be an egg hunt, fairy treasure hunt, face painting, egg decorating, pony rides, and much more on the day. The cost of the event is €5 per child. Also taking place on the day will be the launch of the Enchanted Fair Trail at the the lake.

Garrymore GAA membership

Club membership for Garrymore GAA club for 2018 is now open. The final registration night will be held in the clubhouse this evening, March 16, from 8pm to 9pm. All members are encouraged to attend. Membership can also be paid online on www.garrymoregaa.com/membership

25 in Cairde Crann Mor

Cairde Crann Mor’s weekly 25 Card Game (partners ) will take place on Sunday March 18 at 7.30pm sharp, in support of Western Care Association South Mayo Services. Entry is €10 per person which includes cash prizes, tea, coffee, and raffle.

Ballinrobe St Patrick's Day parade

This year's Ballinrobe St Patrick's Day parade will get start at 1.45pm on Saturday, March 17.

Youth club for LGBT teens and friends

The Youth Booth at the Maple Youth Centre is setting up a new lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender youth club to fully meet the needs of young people. The club is open to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender young people, their friends, and young people who may be questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity. The club is a safe place for young LGBT people to be themselves and it is open to all young people who care about LGBT issues. For more information contact Grace on (087 ) 7714967.

Lourdes trip fundraiser

The Maple Youth Centre, Ballinrobe, and The Irish Pilgrimage Trust are heading to Lourdes to help the elderly and people with special needs. As a fundraiser to cover costs, the Maple Youth Centre is having a clothing drive. Bags can be dropped into the youth centre or the parish centre. For more information contact (087 ) 7714967.

Buggy Friendly Walking Group

The Buggy Friendly Walking Group meets every Friday morning from 10.30am to 12 noon at the Maple Youth Centre on Bowgate Street in Ballinrobe.

Money advice bureau

If you are struggling with bills, payments, or debts, you do not need to be under stress. The Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS ) has an outreach service in the Tacú Centre in Ballinrobe. A member of MABS will meet you by appointment for an initial contact. To book your appointment call (1890 ) 283428.

Youth club volunteers needed

The Maple Youth Booth on Bowgate Street in Ballinrobe is setting up a youth club group for first and second year boys. It is looking for volunteers to supervise the club on Wednesdays from 4pm to 6pm. For more information contact Grace on (087 ) 7714967.

Young mothers' group in Ballinrobe

Young mothers, aged 24 years and under and living in the Ballinrobe area, are invited to get involved in a support group with others of a similar age. For further information text or phone Mary on (087 ) 2859973.
