Students are ready to awaken the song inside

Over the last number of months, a number of very passionate and enthusiastic religious education and music teachers within the Archdiocese of Tuam have been working on a very exciting new project called Awakening.

This will be a a celebration of both modern church and contemporary music that has been described by many as Glee meets the X-Factor meets church music. The aim is to bring together the voices of more than 300 young people to perform some of the most beautiful and meaningful songs to lift spirits and raise much needed funds for Pieta House.

This epic concert takes place on Thursday May 5 at Breaffy Sports Arena, Castlebar and is the perfect way to lead into the weekend of the darkness into light walks which take place all over the country. Tickets are €12 and will be available from various parishes offices around the diocese. The proceeds from this very special gathering will go to Pieta House. Contact Teresa on (087 ) 2424927 to book your tickets today. Check out www. dyctuam.ie for more information.
