Christine Richards is the owner and groomer at Shampooch, and introducing her business she said: "The business has been my labour of love for many years. I am from England, professionally trained to City and Guilds standard at The Oxford Grooming School. I moved to Mayo last year with my husband, two young sons, and our collection of animals. We bought an old property which we have renovated and extended to include a new grooming salon. We would love to help anyone in the local area looking for a friendly grooming or boarding service.

"I am a farmer’s daughter, raised with all kinds of dogs and animals, I have worked and trained dogs since I was young, competing in National Agility competitions back in England for 15 years. We keep, breed, and show our own menagerie of pets including alpaca, continental giant rabbits, pure breed guinea pigs, ponies, dogs, and cats, which I am always glad to talk about and show people who are interested. We occasionally have young stock available too."
