Croagh Patrick climb raises funds for Hospice

Last September, in conjunction with the Marie Keating Foundation, a climb of Croagh Patrick was organised by a team of volunteers. The event was followed by refreshments, and music by local musicians at Carrowleg Cottage, Kilmeena. The proceeds from the event were donated to local deserving causes including the Mayo-Roscommon Hospice where a syringe driver was purchased for the charity. Apart from the fundraising aspects of the venture, many friendships have been forged and links between Clare, Mayo, and Galway have been made.

It is hoped to organise events of this nature on an annual basis to support deserving causes in the locality.

Mayo-Roscommon Hospice would like to thank sincerely all those involved, the organising committee, climbers, sponsors, musicians, neighbours and friends who so generously supported this event.
