Westport Train Station’s Rosaleen Wallace has won a national award for her committment to excellent customer service.

Ms Wallace collected the award at the recent Iarnro?d E?ireann Customer Service Awards in Inchicore, Dublin.

Ms Wallace won the award for her successful efforts to increase business at the Westport station, alongside station manager Anne Elliott. One of her innovative ideas was the operation of a Santa Train from Westport to Claremorris, which ran on December 6 and was a sell out. The Iarnro?d E?ireann Customer Service Awards are now in their fourth year and are designed to acknowledge the people across a range of roles who have excelled in customer service.

Over 150 colleagues were nominated for this year’s awards.
