There will be an Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland (ASI ) event hosted jointly by the Community Action on Dementia in Mayo project and Mayo Age Friendly County Programme held on Wednesday, November 5 from 6pm to 8pm in the Foxford Lodge and Studio, Pontoon Road, Foxford. The event aims to raise awareness of people living with dementia in the community. Encourage more programmes/funding to assist families in dealing with dementia in communities locally and nationally. Improve the quality of life for people with dementia. This dementia awareness raising event is free to attend and refreshments will be provided from 5.30pm.
