Clan Beo in partnership with international speakers Derek Wilson and Colin Newton of Inclusive Solutions will present a series of seminars in the newly opened Quay Community Centre in Springfield, Westport Quay on Friday, February 28 and Saturday March 1.
On the Friday a day long seminar detailing progressive approaches to inclusion and independent living in the community for people living with a disability has been put together to address some questions raised by people working in community development, youth work, family resource networks and disability support services.
On the Saturday morning the focus will be on mainstream schools and the ordinary sports and community settings that young people living with a disability share with their peers. The seminar highlights practical approaches to improving access, supporting contribution and participation for young people at school and in social and sports clubs in our communities.
