Celebrate Irish Food Week at Rua, Castlebar

Celebrate Irish Food Week 2013 which runs from March 10 to 16 at Rua, Castlebar.

As recent winner of Good Food Ireland’s Best National Café award and John and Sally McKenna’s nominated Irish food retailer of the year for 2012, it is fair to say that it is always Irish food week at Rua and Café Rua. However, the company has planned a special series of events to celebrate Irish produce in the run up to St Patrick’s Day, featuring a cookery class, a dinner featuring some of the best local produce available, and many other delicious deals in both their cafés and delicatessen.

Cooking with buttermilk in association with Cuinneog takes place at Rua Deli on Wednesday, March 11, at 7.30pm. Tickets now available from Rua delicatessen.

Meet the Allen Brothers of Castlemine Farm, suppliers of award winning meat and farm produce as seen recently on RTÉ’s Ear to the Ground, at lunchtime, Friday March 15, in Rua Deli.
