During the day Turlough Street will be closed to motor traffic for visitors to enjoy the on-street entertainment and crafts.

The main attraction of the Turlough big day is the annual duck race – fast yellow (rubber ) ducks racing on Turlough river for an array of prizes sponsored by local business; each numbered duck will represent a race ticket holder and the first ten ducks across the finish line at the Turlough Park bridge will be awarded one of the listed prizes with a special prize for the last duck home.
