Paper Tales exhibition running at the Linenhall

Paper Tales, a wonderfully original and creative exhibition by paper artist Maeve Clancy, continues at the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar for the month of October. Paper Tales is an exhibition that’s made entirely out of paper, comprising giant pop-up books, projected animation, cut paper scenes and comics. Artist Maeve Clancy has taken her inspiration from actual stories and essays written by Castlebar schoolchildren in the 1930s - how they lived, worked and played, the local myths and legends of the time. Maeve Clancy graduated from NCAD in 2001 and has worked as an animator, illustrator and artist best known for creating the brilliant oversized pop-up books that feature in Lisa Hannigan’s music video Lille. Suitable for young and old alike, Paper Tales is guaranteed to delight and engage. The exhibition runs until Monday, October 31, including over the RoolaBoola 2011 Children’s Arts Festival at the Linenhall. Don’t miss it!
