Punch your way to fitness with Boxercise

Boxing fitness (Boxercise ) has long being regarded as one of the most effective forms of exercise. The simple reason why Boxercise is so popular is that it you get to train like a boxer without ever having to go in the ring.

Boxers are known to be the fittest of all athletes, working at high intensity for short periods of time, which is ideal for weight loss and for those of you who need a little cross training for other sports such as marathon running, triathlon, etc.

Expect to burn over 500 kCal in the hour. Punch your way through a wide range of combinations, get killer abs while getting in the best shape of your life. Classes are run by former senior boxing champion Adrian Sheerin who is currently one of only two advanced Boxercise instructors in Ireland.

Classes take place in the combat sports centre (old Toymaster ) on Mondays at 7pm. €10 trial class (€50 for six weeks ). No obligation to join.

Shape and tone (women only )

This is an highly enjoyable exercise to music class for people who would like a less demanding workout. The class is split up into two sections. The first half is a cardio workout which burns fat and the second half focuses on toning and sculpting the body. Expect great music and great atmosphere.
