Charity cycle for homeless

Today, Friday July 16, friends Detective Garda Fergal Flynn of Fitzgibbon Street Garda Station and Paul Kelly, prison officer at Mountjoy Prison, will set off on a charity cycle from the Capuchin Day Centre, Dublin to Belmullet. Joined by a number of colleagues, Flynn and Kelly will cycle a total of 300km to raise much needed funds for The Capuchin Day Centre.

The centre provides hot meals, food parcels, clothing and day care facilities for homeless and needy people in Dublin, six days a week.

The group, joined by Brother Kevin for the last leg of the journey, will arrive in Belmullet at 5pm on Saturday and members of the public are asked to come out and cheer them on.
