Lynch Hotel Group completes examinership

The Lynch Hotel Group, one of Ireland’s largest hotel operators which includes in its hotel portfolio Breaffy House Resort, emerged from its examinership process this week.

The company voluntarily undertook the process in order to protect its business and the employment of more than 500 staff members across the seven hotels it owns and operates in the west of Ireland. This includes 150 jobs at the Breaffy hotel.

All properties in the group remain intact and will continuing trading as normal as part of the group.

The hotel group received a positive outcome at a confirmation hearing in front of Mr Justice Finlay Geoghegan following the issuing of the report of examiner, Michael McAteer of Grant Thornton Dublin, to the High Court.

Lynch Hotel Group managing director Michael B Lynch said: “We are very thankful to the court. In addition we are grateful to our business partners, suppliers, staff members, and loyal customers for their continued support and understanding throughout this process.

“We look forward to continuing to offer the best value for money in the Irish hotel industry for many years to come and continuing to grow our core competencies in the leisure, conference, wedding, and event markets.”
