Rugby club, school, and lab granted planning

This week Mayo County Council granted planning permission for an extension at Castlebar Rugby Club, for a new national school in Lehanagh, and for a new building to be used as a laboratory in Ballina.

On Monday Mayo County Council granted permission for Castlebar Rugby Club, Cloondeash (Mountdaisy ), Castlebar, to construct an extension to the clubhouse and associated site works and for permission to retain and complete an equipment store. The development will consist of two changing rooms, gymnasium, equipment store, and site works including a revised car park and upgraded sewage treatment.

Charles River Laboratories Preclinical Services, Carrowntreila, Ballina, was granted permission on Tuesday to construct a single story building located centrally in the site measuring 560 square metres gross floor area for use as a light industrial type/laboratory facility and all ancillary site development works at the existing complex.

The board of management of Mayo Abbey National School was also granted planning permission for a new national school and associated services at Lehanagh, Mayo Abbey, Claremorris.
