In celebration of a very unusual date this week being the ninth day of the ninth month, 2009, Domino’s Pizza has decided to hold a 999 day.
To mark this unique occasion, local Domino’s stores are delivering free pizza to the local fire, police and ambulance stations.
John McManus from Domino’s said: “We thought this was a fantastic opportunity to show our appreciation for all the hard work our local emergency services do. Sending them some delicious, fresh, hot pizza was our way of saying thanks. These people are totally committed to helping others and they work very long, anti-social hours in order to help the people in our local community. We’ve been looking for a reason give them all a treat for some time – so when we realised it was the ninth day of the ninth month of the 2009th year, it seemed the perfect excuse.”
