New website and logo for Mulranny Tourism

Mulranny Tourism launched a newly designed logo and website www.mulranny.ie at its end-of-season lunch for the Mulranny Tourist Office Volunteers, held in the GN Mulranny Park Hotel recently.

The new website is designed to create a user-friendly and visually enjoyable browsing experience for users, showcasing the unique village and everything it has to offer to its full potential. With a host of eye catching imagery, the new site features a fresh new look with complete mobile-responsive functionality, catering seamlessly to smart phone and tablet users.

At the launch, Carol Loftus, chairperson of Mulranny Tourism stated: "This redesign was the result of a very successful collaboration between the Mulranny Tourism Committee, South West Mayo Development Company and Avenir Design."

Loftus thanked the local councillor Michael Homes for carrying out the official launch and Avenir Design for their very professional guidance throughout the project. She also thanked South West Mayo Development Company, in particular, Sabina Trench, for continuing to support their efforts to promote Mulranny.

Loftus finished off the launch by thanking the tourist office staff and local community volunteers who she said: "give a friendly, welcome and professional service" to all visitors throughout the year. There was a special mention and a minute's silence for one of the volunteers, Tom Mulloy, who sadly passed away this year, with tributes noting that, like all of their volunteers, he was very proud of Mulranny and really enjoyed meeting the visitors and sharing his local knowledge with them.

A wholly voluntary group, Mulranny Tourism run a very busy tourist office in the village and is open seven days a week from May to October and five days a week thereafter, including bank holiday weekends. So far this year almost 4000 visitors have called to the tourist office. The group uses funds raised from advertising on the website to run the office and depends on the knowledgeable local volunteers for their help in running the service.
