Kieran Goss to play intimate show in Westport

Long hailed as one of Ireland’s leading songwriters and performers, Kieran Goss’s music has won him fans across the globe. But if his songs have made him a star, his live shows have made him a legend. Live on stage is where Kieran Goss really shines.

Next week you will have a chance to get up close and personal with Kieran when he takes to the stage on Thursday, July 26 at 8pm in Matt Molloy's in Westport.

Kieran and his wife Annie have been resident in Dromore West for many years but touring commitments abroad mean that they are rarely home.

Kieran stated: "We've been playing 150 -200 shows a year for many years and only a handful of those would ever be in Ireland.

"We made a decision last year that we wanted to be home more, particularly in the summer and so we decided to have an annual 'Home For the Summer' tour taking in beautiful spots along the west coast in Westport and Kerry and West Cork and Clare.

"We'll throw the bikes in the back of the van and make it into a holiday as well as concerts. I'm really looking forward to it and the tour kicks off in Matt Molly's in Westport."

Kieran will perform the first half of the show solo and will be joined on stage in the second half by harmony singer Annie Kinsella. Kieran and Annie are currently recording a duo album together which is scheduled for release in Ireland in February 2019.

Their show in Matt Molloy's will feature new songs from that album as well as old favourites like "Out Of My Head", "Reasons To Leave" and "Just Around The Corner". This is a rare chance to see Kieran performing in this beautiful intimate venue.

Tickets are not for sale in advance; only available on the door on the night of the show. Tickets: €20.
