Nixon on the Watergate — Kilkenny’s newest venue

There is some good news for Parliament Street with the opening of Kilkenny’s newest venue — Nixon on the Watergate. It’s not often you hear of new businesses opening these days, and it provides a great boost for the local economy.
The Nixon on the Watergate has received a warm welcome from locals and passers by since opening their doors last week. The Nixon’s proprietor Damien O’Brien says, “it’s going to be a venue with live bands playing Saturday and Sundays with a late bar.
“We’re starting a full bar food menu after Christmas and we’ve completely revamped the premises. It’s been decorated with new furniture and there’s a new lighting system installed.”
They are also accommodating all sports fanatics and live sporting events will be shown on the big screen at the Nixon.
For anyone seeking the perfect party venue for a family get- together or birthday celebration, The Nixon will supply complimentary finger food for groups of 20 people or more.
This Sunday the Nixon plays host to resident band Hot Rocks who will be playing a mix of all the classic rock songs — a night not to be missed.
The Nixon caters for all and has a cocktail menu filled with plenty of tasty exotic drinks to choose from. Special drinks offers will be available and will vary regularly.
