With almost half the grants for insulation used, the Energy Minister Eamon Ryan has urged householders in Kilkenny to avail of the Government’s Home Energy Saving Scheme.
Approximately 500 applications have been received from homeowners in Co Kilkenny to date and people are being encouraged to go on line and apply for the remaining grants before they run out.
To date, almost €33 million in grants towards insulation and energy efficiency has been committed, for more than 27,000 people nationwide.
