Briarhill gets a drive-through restaurant

The Briarhill Shopping Centre has announced the addition of a new drive-through restaurant and café with the creation of 50 jobs.

The project is being developed by Liam Mulryan with award winning Paul Dillon Architects. The design is for a mixed-use development to provide accommodation for a café restaurant at ground and first floor levels, which includes a drive-through facility, with a gross floor area of 557 square metres, a retail unit/shop at ground floor level with a gross floor area of 33 square metres, first floor terrace area, and all associated services, parking and signage. The development will be two storeys in height over a basement and will be situated in front of the Briarhill Shopping Centre, Galway.

Planning permission has been granted and the project is currently at tender stage. Construction will start in January for completion in summer 2009. The Developer Liam Mulryan is in talks with a number of potential operators for the restaurant.
