Gardai seek missing Polish man

Gardai in Oranmore, Co Galway have appealed for help in tracing a missing Polish man.
Pawel Kowaczyk, a 33-year-old Polish national was last seen at his home at Frenchpark, Oranmore at 5am on Tuesday last February 15 2011.

The latest in a series of demonstrations to oppose any downgrading of hospital services in the west will take place in Ballinasloe, Co Galway, later today (Tuesday).
The organisers of a planned lunchtime protest say they believe services at Portiuncula Hospital are under 'serious threat' arising from growing budget over-runs.
