DJ OLIVIA, a key player in the Polish electronic music scene for more than a decade, returns to Galway to play the next Factory night at the Electric Garden and Theatre.
Olivia is one of Unsound’s resident DJs and one of the biggest movers on the Krakow club scene. She books nights for Szpitalna 1 club, hosts her own Radar series, and has risen to nationwide fame, thanks to her house and electro sets, which, when played live, frequently explore the harder elements of techno, acid, experimental club music, and bass.
With a debut release on Art For Blind, and anupcoming release on Glacial Sound, her productions combine heavily manipulated samples, resonant beats, and dark textures, while also drawing influence from drone and noise, crossed with vigorous techno leanings.
Olivia plays Electric tomorrow night. She will be joined by Gash Collective founder ELLLL, who has played Electric Picnic's rave in the woods, AVA, Life, and Metropolis. Support is from Caskré. The event is presented by Gash Collective, which provides a platform for female-identifying electronic music DJs and producers to create, share, and collaborate.
