Leon Vynehall returns to Electric

First Galway show from producer/DJ since 2016

LEON VYNEHALL is that rare thing – an artist with his own agenda rather than a producer aping the sound of the day, as he has shown with his off-kilter EPs on labels like Brighton's Well Rounded Housing Project, George FitzGerald's ManMakeMusic imprint, and Will Saul's Aus Music.

Galway will be able to hear for itself when Vynehall makes a welcome return to Electric, Abbeygate Street, this Saturday from 11pm. His music is carefully crafted and never strays too far from an infectious groove. He received a formal music education in his youth, and as a listener he embraces post-punk, classical, funk, disco, soul, and techno, all of which impact on the music he creates. His tempos, timbres and sonic palettes always vary, with the end results being raw, expressive, sounds with their own unique charm.
