Tickets for Connacht’s European clash on sale tomorrow

Connacht Rugby is gearing up for the biggest game of the season to date with English premiership side Gloucester making the visit to the Galway Sportsground on March 31.

A European Challenge Cup semi-final is the prize for the winners of this meeting which is only the second time Gloucester have made the visit to the home of Connacht Rugby.

Season ticket holders have been given priority access to tickets which ends tomorrow, when they will be available to the general public from 11am through Connachtrugby.ie website - the only official seller.

Brian Mahony, head of commercial and marketing at Connacht Rugby, says a large number have already been sold to season ticket holders.

“We are delighted our eagerly awaited home Challenge Cup quarter-final has been confirmed for the Saturday of the Easter weekend, March 31, with a 1pm kick off,” he says.

“We have given our season ticket holders a one week priority access and have had an overwhelming response so far with a large volume of the ground already sold out. There is real excitement around our journey in Europe this season, and there is a sense that fans really want to be part of that journey.

“Tickets are on general sale from tomorrow [Friday] from 11am through our website. Our message to fans is: ‘if you don’t want to miss out, purchase your tickets early’.

The Easter weekend promises to be a big weekend in Galway and we are expecting a huge crowd on the Saturday for the big game.”
