Squeeze's Chris Difford returns to Galway

It'll be 'Cool For Cats' at Monroe's Live

CHRIS DIFFORD, co-founder and co-songwriter, along with Glenn Tilbrook, of the long running and much loved English band Squeeze, is coming to Galway to play a solo show in March.

Chris Difford will play the Dominick Street venue on Friday March 9 at 8pm, and while he, along with Tilbrook, will always be best known for ‘Cool For Cats’, ‘Up The Junction’, 'Pulling Mussels From A Shell', ‘Labelled With Love’, ‘Hourglass’, and ‘Tempted’ - and we can expect to hear a couple of squeeze tracks at the Galway show - Chris is not resting on past glories, but has numerous new projects on the go.

Last year he released Chris To The Mill, a box set of his three studio albums on Edsel Records, while his fourth solo album is due out later this year. Entitled Not Only But Also, it features songs written with Boo Hewerdine over the past three years. August will also see Chris release his autobiography, Some Fantastic Place, published by Orion Books. He will also continue to curate the Songs In The Key Of London event at the Barbican.

Tickets €20 from www.monroes.ie or from Monroe’s.
