COMEDY, FASHION, music, and politics - including a guest appearance from Wyvern Lingo's Caoimhe Barry - combine at the Repeal Party in the Róisín Dubh, with all proceeds going to the Abortion Rights Campaign.

The event, MCed by Galway singer-songwriter Tracy Bruen, begins with 'Repeal The 8th Catwalk Raffle', where there will be a chance to get Repeal the Eighth T-shirts and jumpers courtesy of TheHunreal Issues! A voucher to Nine Crows is also up for grabs.

Caoimhe, one third of the brilliant Wyvern Lingo, and guitarist/percussionist in the band, will play a solo set. In October, the band released the single 'Out Of My Hands', which deals directly with the issues of abortion and the Eighth Amendment. Wyvern Lingo’s self-titled debut album will be released on Rubyworks in 2018.

Singer-songwriter Síomha, described by Hotpress as "a star in the making" is also on the bill. Her live video for 'July Red Sky', inspired by The Burren, was a viral hit this summer, reaching more than 1.7 million views online. She was special guest on Paul Brady's nationwide tour of Ireland. She is admired for her soulful vocals and her guitar skills.

Leila Jane, described as "somewhere between Janis Joplin and Sandy Denny", is another singer-songwriter also playing on the night; and there will be comedy from the brilliant Áine Gallagher, fast becoming known as the "queen of the offbeat".

The Repeal Party takes place in the Róisín Dubh this Saturday. Doors are at 7.30pm. Show starts at 8pm. Tickets are €8 on the door and via Eventbrite. All proceeds go to the Abortion Rights Campaign to assist towards reproductive rights in Ireland and to encourage repeal of the eighth amendment.
