Large crowds expected at today’s DNG Maxwell Heaslip & Leonard’s November auction

Today will see the auction team in DNG Maxwell Heaslip & Leonard hold the last of its winter auction series in the Radisson Hotel at 3pm.

The running order sees some 25 lots come to the market with the usual eclectic mix of properties, and something to suit all buyers. The award-winning auction experts have reported large turnouts at the open viewings, and are expecting plenty of activity in their auction rooms today.

Auction director James Heaslip has been delighted with the turnout of potential buyers at the open-viewings.

"We’ve been working very hard, along with our fellow DNG agents in the west of Ireland, to ensure that each property is marketed properly and that buyers meet qualified agents who know their business. We feel it's important that we can provide local knowledge of the areas in which we are selling. Buying at auction can be daunting sometimes, but having agents who are leaders in their areas, is a real help to those looking to purchase on the auction floor.”

Mairead Leonard, who will oversee the proceedings, says auction day is a result of months of planning and preparation.

"While our game is a results' business, we still put countless hours in to ensuring both vendors and buyers have a good experience on the day. Some find the auction room intimidating, so we try to make it as relaxed and stress free as possible. James has a great way of putting people at ease and his sense of humour does help in taking any tension out of the room. As for the rest of the team, although it’s a busy day with lots happening, it's one we all really enjoy, especially when the gavel falls on the last lot.”
