THE OPULENT surroundings of the Spiegeltent in Eyre Square will play host to a night of glamour, decadence, sauce, and outrageous displays of sexiness, with The Dirty Circus burlesque and cabaret.
The circus takes place on Bank Holiday Monday October 30 at 9pm as part of the Vodafone Comedy Carnival and the Spiegeltent is an apt venue to host such a show. Dirty Circus producer Tommy Walsh describes its interior as being “like the inside of a decadent jeweller box”, adding, “We all love comedy but this venue was built to showcase burlesque and cabaret".
Performers will include former Miss Burlesque Australia Azaria Starfire; world champion juggler Toby Walker (Cirque du Soleil ); comedy and acrobatics duo Lords Of Strut (Britain's Got Talent ) will bring their high energy dance moves and messing; belly dancer Stacey McPartlin; Galway burlesque performer Harley Sparks; and the indescribable lounge singer Frank Sanazi, who is best experienced firsthand.
The MC will be the brilliant Sade O’Sapphic/Slick O’. There will be electro swing from DJ Cantina Bop. Audience members are encourage to dress up for the occasion as there will be prizes for the best dressed.
