Hugely anticipated computer game convention coming to Galway

Galway City is gearing up for the arrival of GamerFest 17, the biggest gaming convention to date in the west of Ireland. Taking place in the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa this November 11th & 12th, the event promises to be an awe-inspiring celebration of gaming and entertainment for it’s 2,000 visitors.

Central to the November event will be the GamerFest 17 Live Stage, which will be showcasing YouTuber special guests, live-gaming challenges and fantastic giveaways and entertainment. The PlayerZone, meanwhile, will have brand new gaming titles and virtual reality technology available to play, along with the latest consoles and merchandise for gamers of all ages and levels. And for the more nostalgic visitors, the massively popular RetroZone offers the opportunity to experience a blast from the past and play the classic gaming titles that have truly stood the test of time!

Hosting the event is Front Door Events Ltd., in association with BEM Ireland Ltd., who are expecting an unforgettable occasion for visitors in the lead up to Christmas. Laura Hester, of BEM Ireland, expects GamerFest 17 to become an annual event for the city. “We are looking forward to putting on a memorable show in Galway for our 2,000 visitors.
