Aimee Banks to sing at Fringe Festival

Moycullen soprano to give concert in St Augustine's Church

AIMEE BANKS, the 15-year-old soprano who shot to fame representing Ireland at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Bulgaria, will give a concert at the Augustinian Church as part of the 2017 Galway Fringe Festival.

Aimee's concert take place on Friday July 21 at 8pm, where she will be accompanied by Colm Henry on piano, the Dublin Male Voice Choir, The Celtic Choristers, and Toner Quinn.

The Moycullen native has performed at Carnegie Hall, New York; The National Concert Hall, Dublin; The Convention Centre at the Government's State launch of the 1916 Commemorations; the International Rose of Tralee Festival; Inishbofin Arts Festival; and the KFest Emerging Classical Talent Concert in Kerry.

She received the Overall Vocalist Award and Bursary at Feis Ceoil 2015 (Midlands ) and 2016 (Sligo ); the Outstanding Achievement award in Arts and Culture 2016 from Galway Roscommon Education and Training Board; and made her operatic debut as young Giordano Bruno in Roger Doyle's Heresy in Dublin’s Project Arts Centre.
