Rubberbandits at the Róisín this weekend

A rowdy show awaits at the Róisín Dubh. Leave your horses outside!

THEY'RE BACK! The Rubberbandits - the plastic bag masks clad duo of Blindboy Boat Club and Mr Chrome - will bring their inspired, highly intelligent, and as sharp as it is funny hip-hop comedy to the Róisín Dubh.

The Limerick duo began a weekly slot on RTE 2’s Republic of Telly in 2010 and released their debut single ‘Horse Outside’, which became a viral internet hit (more than 14.5 million Youtube views ) and then a genuine chart success. The following year C4 commissioned them for a series of Comedy Blaps – online shorts – and they were named Best Irish Act at the entertainment.ie awards.

They also won Best Music and Variety Act at the 2012 Chortle Awards and the Malcolm Hardee Award for comic originality at the Edinburgh Fringe that same year. Recently signed to MTV USA, they will be ripping up the Róisín Dubh with a very rowdy show this Saturday. Leave your horses outside!

Doors are 8.30pm. Tickets are €22.50 from the Róisín Dubh and OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street; and €20 from www.roisindubh.net
