LOUGHREA MUSICAL Society presents the west of Ireland's premiere of Green Day’s American Idiot, the story of Will, Tunny, and Johnny who become disaffected by their media saturated suburban life and seek to flee their stifled lives.
American Idiot is an alternative rock concert style show featuring such classic Green Day songs like 'American Idiot', 'Boulevard Of Broken Dreams', 'When September Comes', and '21 Guns'.
The cast features Louis Brennan (Tunny ), Joseph Ryan (Johnny ), Gearóid Treacy (Will ), Sarah Corcoran (Whatsername ), and Today FM’s Fergal Darcy for the role of hell raiser St Jimmy. The director and choreographer is Sarah Griffin and the musical director is Shane Farrell.

It is a show that is thought provoking and perhaps controversial, but it is without a doubt an exceptional piece of theatre and not to be missed. Green Day’s American Idiot runs at the Temperance Hall in Loughrea on April 19, 20, and 22. Audience goers are advised of the parental advisory label on this show due to some explicit language and adult content.
