GALWAY'S JAMES Connolly Forum has set itself the task of 'Demystifying Hamlet' and explaining, in layman’s terms, the world of William Shakespeare’s tragedies with a public talk tomorrow at 7.30pm in The Western on Prospect Hill.

Dr Jenny Farrell, author of the book Fear Not Shakespeare’s Tragedies, which is available in both Charlie Byrne’s Bookshop and the university bookshop in NUIG, will give the lecture, which is entitled 'Demystifying Hamlet'. She will tease out what lies at the centre of Shakespearian tragedies, through focusing specifically on Hamlet. She will also look at some of Shakespeare’s tricks of the dramatic trade and the 'gravedigger scene', in which working people take the stage for the first time in history.

There will be a Q&A session afterwards. Admission is free and all are welcome.
