‘Mother of Mine’ – a song for Galway Hospice

A special CD dedicated to mothers which will help raise funds for the Galway Hospice has been launched by Chris Sherlock and Paschal Brennan.

At €5, the CD is a perfect Mother’s Day gift, and includes two cover tracks: Mother of Mine and St Theresa of the Roses, which are performed by Paschal Brennan.

The CD, which has been produced in loving memory of the late Teresa Sherlock, is currently for sale at Galway Hospice reception, Eglinton Street Pharmacy, XL Eyre Square Shopping Centre, XL Paperchase Terryland, O’Brien’s Newsagents, and the Galway Advertiser Office, Eyre Square.

Chris Sherlock, son of the late Teresa Sherlock, says the CD was specially recorded for the hospice.

"This will go towards helping Galway Hospice to continue providing fully-accredited specialist palliative care services to adults and children with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses throughout Galway city and county," he says. "These services include home care, inpatient care, day care, bereavement support and education.

“I’ve witnessed first hand the work our local hospice do and it's remarkable. It is true when they say 'every moment matters'. The care the hospice gave my mother Teresa was brilliant, and even after she died, the hospice gave my family and me the support we needed. Producing this CD is just to say thanks for all their hard work and hoping it continues to raise the much-needed funds to continue what they do best."

The tracks are also available to download on ITUNES, GOOGLE PLAY and available to listen on Spotify.
