One of the must successful events to be held in the city last year was the Atlantec festival organised by Information Technology Association Galway which brought together an impressive range of speakers from across the globe.

And the good news is that it is coming back and will kick off later this month with series of events that will run until late May.

AtlanTec ‘17 will be held across a variety of prestigious locations in Galway including NUI Galway, the G Hotel, and some of the top tech companies based in Galway.

ITAG is a long-standing association with tangible industry links and a commitment to growing and strengthening the information technology sector in Galway and its stewardship of the AtlanTec ’17 (which runs from March 23-May 26 ) will once again celebrate the vibrant and diverse technology culture present in the city and county.

It will play host to a series of information technology themed events of interest to IT industry professionals, community groups and those in education. At the heart of the festival lies the AtlanTec Conference, which will take place on May 25. This is a one-day event, which will welcome prestigious homegrown and international keynote speakers from the information technology sector.

This year’s theme centers on microservices, continuous delivery, cloud encryption, infrastructure as code and lean business. There will be in-company events across Galway’s tech sector.

This will also include Women In Technology Events which inspire, educate and connect with attendees. Other topics will include The Art of Software Development, Tech Tag World Championships Gaming for Gamers, Tech Start Ups, Medtech, Fintech, and much more

Hear from a range of world class information technology experts. Connect with and learn about the most innovative start-ups in the West and be part of a meeting of minds with those from the local information technology community to collaborate, share ideas, and successes.
