St Nicholas’ Parochial School and MADRA join paws for fundraising event/open day on Pancake Tuesday

St Nicholas’ Parochial Primary School is a co-educational, multi-denominational, child-centred, school with a long tradition of serving the youth of Galway. It is centrally located in Woodquay (beside The Town Hall Theatre ) and due to this central location, the pupils have the opportunity to attend many different educational events held in The Town Hall Theatre, Dubray Book Shop, The Black Box, Galway City Museum, Galway City Library, and many other interesting locations.

The school has a low pupil teacher ratio, large spacious classrooms, and high tech IT facilities. The school aims to create a safe and secure learning environment where children feel valued and happy. Children are offered support and opportunities to develop life skills that will help them to engage with further education and personal development throughout their lives.

Children are encouraged to try as many activities as possible and to make the most of their many talents. There is emphasis on sport, art, music, citizenship, and the environment. The school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities including hockey, drama, Chinese, French, Zumba, yoga, and swimming every Wednesday in Leisureland for all classes. Above all, St Nicholas’ Parochial School is a family, and the vibrant school community is welcoming and inclusive.

This year, St Nicholas’ Parochial School has teamed up with MADRA to raise funds for this volunteer dog rescue and adoption group. The school is holding a fundraising event/open day on Tuesday February 28, and extends a warm welcome to all parents and children to attend from 11am to 2.30pm. On the day, you will have an opportunity to take a tour of the school and meet the pupils, teachers, and parents, who will be providing pancakes, activities, and entertainment. The school also looks forward to welcoming MADRA on its open day.

St Nicholas’ Parochial School is now enrolling for September 2017 at all class levels. For more information phone 091 569233, email [email protected], or see www.galwayschool.com
