City still waits for anti-social behaviour officer

Despite funding being made available for the appointment of an anti-social behaviour officer two years ago, City Hall has still not appointed anyone to the position.

This is the view of Fianna Fáil Cllr Mary Leahy who has berated City Hall for “failing to employ” such an officer when the money was there to create the post.

Cllr Leahy said “it beggars belief this appointment has not been made. The role was set up specifically to help tackle this problem and would have made a significant difference to those affected by anti-social behaviour”.

She is calling on the council to rectify this situation immediately.
